與SAT和ACT不同，托福閱讀考試主要考察學生對句子的理解，句子讀懂了，80%的題目也就不攻自破了。這周，老師帶大家把長難句搞一搞!
前兩回我們講了畫成分和邏輯分析，這次我們再講一些阻礙童鞋們理解長難句的因素--特殊句型。
有一些句型，在語序上有特殊的安排，如果不知道，也會影響句子的理解。
(一) 倒裝句
【例1】Basic to any understanding of Canada in the 20years after the Second World War is the country's impressive population growth。
這是一個完全倒裝句。
正常語序：The country's impressive population growth is basic to any understanding of Canada in the 20years after the Second World War。
【參考譯文】加拿大人口快速增長是理解二戰(zhàn)后二十年內(nèi)加拿大國情的基礎。
【例2】Indeed， had it not been for the superb preservation of these fossils(虛擬條件句) ，they might well have been classified as dinosaurs。
正常語序：Indeed， if it had not been for the superb preservation of these fossils， they might well have been classified as dinosaurs。
這是一個虛擬語氣，虛擬語氣可以省略if，把助動詞提前，變成部分倒裝。
【參考翻譯】確實，如果不是由于這些化石得到了極好的保存，他們很有可能被歸類為恐龍化石。
(二)強調(diào)句
強調(diào)句的構成： It+ be+強調(diào)成分+ that/who+其他成分
注意：強調(diào)句去掉強調(diào)結構，句子仍然完整且正確的就是強調(diào)句。因此，強調(diào)句的處理方法就是去掉強調(diào)結構，剩下的部分正常理解即可。
It was just a decade before this that many drug companies had found their vitamin sales skyrocketing and were quick to supply practicing physicians with generous samples of vitamins and literature extolling the virtue of supplementation for a variety of health-related conditions。
該句強調(diào)的是時間狀語"just a decade before this"，去掉強調(diào)結構，句子變成：
Just a decade before this， many drug companies had found their vitamin sales skyrocketing and were quick to supply practicing physicians with generous samples of vitamins and literature extolling the virtue of supplementation for a variety of health-related conditions。
【參考譯文】就在十年前，許多藥廠發(fā)現(xiàn)他們的維生素銷量飛漲，很快這些藥廠開始給執(zhí)業(yè)醫(yī)師提供大量維生素樣品，并發(fā)文宣傳維生素可以為各種身體條件提供營養(yǎng)補充這一優(yōu)點。
