Inside Industrial Infrastructure (ICORP), a premium subscription emerging markets access and deal origination platform, was recently established by Charlie Welsh, the former Editor-in-Chief and co-founder of The Mergermarket Group. This revolutionary new product, which is set to ’go live’ in January 2015, will offer an origination platform of actionable business opportunities alongside inside knowledge of the regulatory events that often drive them, to companies looking to tap growth opportunities in the Asian markets.
ICORP was incorporated in the US and registered in Hong Kong earlier this year and Shanghai, where its largest editorial bureau will be located. Its commercial headquarters are in Manhattan, New York.
Our opportunities are sourced in two different ways.
ICORP’s proprietary business intelligence is gathered by our team of expert journalists who are located on the ground in the markets we cover through interviews with company executives, trade experts, industry experts and regulatory specialists.
ICORP also aggregates targeted and focused news from foreign and domestic trade journals, local publications, company conference calls, regulatory announcements and regional business journals. Our focus is on digging out the many hidden gems of intelligence buried in the vast quarries of the information that characterizes many media and information services today. Much of this content is translated and then carefully summarized into actionable nuggets which are then delivered directly to those who need them.
Obtaining key information on new opportunities and international trade deals is a challenging – if not impossible – task for companies. To solve this problem, ICORP has designed TradeScope, the first ever trade deals database that allows users to originate new business opportunities via partnerships/JVs, project supply tenders and past trade deals, among other sources.

The candidate will cover energy related environmental solutions, waste treatment and other topics including landfill leachate and recycling. The candidate will also write M&A, partnership, and financing opportunities in the sectors. The reporters will be aggressive in networking and information gathering. The candidate should be comfortable in attending conferences and talking to industrial sources. The right candidate will be based in Shanghai (福州路318號浦匯大廈). Requirements of the candidates: 1. Majors of Journalism, English, Business, Environmental Engineering preferred 2. Strong English writing and speaking skills 3. Strong communication skills, especially with sources 4. Previous reporting and analysis experience is a plus
