    1.might aux. v. may的過去式
    miaht at least 至少(經(jīng)常用于責(zé)備句型:You might at least...)
    1.A:I hope you are not too put out with me for stopping by Fred's on the way over here. I had to pick up an assignment.
    A:我希望你對我不要太生氣。我過來的時候去了一趟弗雷德家,我得取我的作業(yè)。
    B:Well, that's not a big deal. But you might at least phone if you know you are going to keep someone waiting.
    B:嗯,那沒什么大不了的。但如果你知道要讓人等你的話,你至少可以打個電話。
    2.A:Oh, no. Look at this red paint on my new jacket. Why did the school paint that rail anyway?

    例句:1.I got such a bad start in the last race that it was hard to catch up.
    上次賽跑我起跑太慢了以致很難追上別人。
    2.You'd better concentrate if you try to avoid getting a bad start.
    如果想避免起跑太慢,你集中注意力。
    3.watcher n. 觀者
    a clock watcher 一直看鐘的人;對自己工作已經(jīng)毫無興趣可言只是混時間而已
    例句:Alan was an enthusiastic teacher when he started here, but now he is a clock watcher.
    艾倫開始的時候,對教學(xué)非常熱情,現(xiàn)在只是在混時間而已。
