荻港給我印象最深的,大概就是那一眼望不到盡頭的河邊長廊了吧，臨水而建，依人而居，獨(dú)具江南特色。江南水鄉(xiāng)，幽幽情長。獨(dú)坐在長廊之上，感受吳儂軟語之美妙。
荻港長廊，對于荻港人而言，是一個休閑娛樂的好地方。在這炎熱的夏季，長廊已經(jīng)成為荻港人們的納涼場所。三五成群地坐在長廊之上，背靠著長廊柱子，面朝著京杭大運(yùn)河，望著遠(yuǎn)方。河面帶來一陣陣微風(fēng)，不似道路上炎熱的陸風(fēng)，仿佛是杭嘉湖的竊竊私語，給人一種舒適安逸之感。眺望遠(yuǎn)方，是否是看到了曾經(jīng)那靈動的身影，看到了曾經(jīng)那明媚的歡顏，看到了曾經(jīng)那蓬勃的朝氣，看到了曾經(jīng)那昂揚(yáng)的斗志……坐在長廊之上，回想當(dāng)初的青春年華，現(xiàn)在又是作何感想，是否會想，原來我也曾年輕。我如是這般想著。
我一次次經(jīng)過長廊，一次次看到長廊上的人，一次次猜測著他們的想法，并為他們的所想而嘆。同時我又不禁聯(lián)想到，多年以后，我又是如何，會是什么樣子。當(dāng)處于他們這個年紀(jì)，回想現(xiàn)在的自己，我又該身在何處。坐在杭嘉湖畔，我開始深思。
荻港老年人給我的驚訝就是基本都識字，甚至是寫得一手好看的毛筆字。當(dāng)說到這時，我們第一反應(yīng)總會是荻港書塾的發(fā)展促進(jìn)的結(jié)果，但我認(rèn)為最關(guān)鍵最基礎(chǔ)的還是個人態(tài)度。如果一個人沒有一個良好的學(xué)習(xí)態(tài)度，就算有再好的學(xué)習(xí)條件也于事無補(bǔ)。就如現(xiàn)在的教育水平遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)高于以前，但是現(xiàn)在的學(xué)生字寫得好看的并不多。當(dāng)看到我們采訪的老爺爺寫出的一個個漂亮的漢字時，我不禁感到一種深深的羞恥感，作為一名未來的教育工作者，我卻連最基本的中國漢字都寫不好，有種這么多年的學(xué)都白上了的慚愧。我們不能否認(rèn)一些外來因素，如現(xiàn)在科技發(fā)達(dá)，手機(jī)電腦的廣泛使用等，但究其根本還是態(tài)度問題。我們要學(xué)就應(yīng)該認(rèn)真學(xué)，不走形式風(fēng)。如果每一件事都能夠端正態(tài)度，認(rèn)真學(xué)，認(rèn)真做，我相信，當(dāng)我年老之后再回首，必定可以說：我無愧于此生！
