D:Mom, this year's summer wear is already out on the market,Why don't we go out for shopping?
女兒：媽媽，今年的夏裝已經(jīng)上市了。為什么我們不去選購呢？
M:That's all you have on your mind, shopping for new clothes. What I am thinking is to give our home decor a changeover.
媽媽：你就只知道購物買新衣服。我想的是把我們家粉刷或者改變一下。
D:Oh! There goes my perfect vacation.
女兒：噢！這就是我愜意的假期。
M:Look here, decorating your room is like making up yourself. It's going to be pretty interesting. I believe that today you're going to have a great sense of accomplishment.
媽媽：看這兒，粉刷你的房間就好比給你自己化裝一樣，會很有趣的。我想今天你肯定會有很大的成就感。
D:Oh, alright, I'll just have to treat the wall as my canvas. I'm thinking of painting the wall of the living room pale blue, the dinning room red, and my room pale green.
女兒：哦，好吧。我就把這墻當(dāng)作我的畫布吧。我打算把客廳刷成淡藍(lán)色，飯廳刷成紅色，我的房間刷成淡綠色。
M:You're sure that you want to be in charge of painting the walls? That can be pretty exhausting.
媽媽：你確定你負(fù)責(zé)刷墻？那是很累人的活。
D:Of course. I'll be asking my dear brother for help. Surely you don't think I was going to leave him out?
女兒：是的。我會讓親愛的哥哥來幫我的。你不會認(rèn)為我會把他排除在外吧？
M:That's exactly what I have in mind.
媽媽：那也正是我所希望的。
