Zhang Zhaozhong, a retired rear admiral and TV commentator, has inspired a postgraduate student to invent a new device and apply for a national patent.
    張召忠(網(wǎng)友尊稱(chēng)“局座”)是一名海軍退休將領(lǐng)和電視評(píng)論員,他之前有關(guān)“海帶防潛艇”的論斷啟發(fā)了一名研究生,后者據(jù)此發(fā)明了一種裝置,申請(qǐng)了國(guó)家專(zhuān)利。
    The device first came up in 2013, when Zhang discussed whether or not a U.S. nuclear submarine would enter the Yellow Sea on a CCTV program. During the broadcast, Zhang explained that since the water was only 50 meters deep, the submarine would likely become entangled in the seaweed cultivated by farmers living nearby. Zhang’s theory attracted online buzz and earned him a significant following.
    有關(guān)這種裝置的想法最開(kāi)始出現(xiàn)是在2013年,當(dāng)時(shí)“局座”在CCTV一個(gè)節(jié)目上討論美國(guó)的核潛艇是否能夠進(jìn)入黃海。在節(jié)目期間,“局座”解釋說(shuō)因?yàn)辄S海的海水只有50米深,因此美國(guó)的核潛艇很有可能會(huì)被附近漁民種植的海帶纏住,根本進(jìn)不來(lái)黃海?!熬肿钡倪@一番言論在網(wǎng)上引起了軒然大波,也為他吸了一個(gè)重要的粉。
    Inspired by Zhang, the student, Ma Lei, designed an underwater propeller defense system. By impairing the propellers of invading submarines, much like the seaweed would do, the invention can prevent such seacraft from entering waters illegally. Ma applied for a national patent in 2014, which he enventually received on June 8, 2016.
    受到“局座”的啟發(fā),馬磊設(shè)計(jì)了一個(gè)水下螺旋槳防御系統(tǒng)。就像海帶纏住潛艇一樣,馬磊的裝置能夠削弱入侵潛艇螺旋槳的動(dòng)力,這個(gè)裝置可以防止這些船只非法進(jìn)入海域。馬磊在2014年申請(qǐng)了國(guó)家專(zhuān)利,最終在2016年6月8日收到了專(zhuān)利認(rèn)證書(shū)。
