1. At our house, it's time for spring cleaning again. My first job is to hang some rugs outside in the air.

2. Clifford wants to help. He takes a rug outside and shakes it. He shakes it a little too hard.

3. Mummy and Daddy are moving the furniture outside. When Clifford sees the couch, his eyes open wide.

4. When he was a little puppy, he always slept on it. Crunch! He doesn't fit on it anymore.

6. Daddy has to clean the yard. Clifford is glad to help him!

7. Clifford's house needs some spring cleaning too. He sweeps out his old bones and rubber toys.

8. Now both our houses are neat and clean. Clifford and I are both very happy.

1. One day, Clifford goes to visit his family. I go with him.

2. Clifford's mother still sees him as a puppy. She checks his teeth and ears.

3. Clifford's sister, Claudia, lives nearby. She is taking her owner for a walk. We go to the park with them.

4. A taxi is on the crosswalk. Clifford takes care of that.

8. Next we visit Clifford's father. There are a lot of kids playing in the yard. Clifford's father looks very happy.

9. Clifford wishes his family could come and live with us, but they can't. So he hopes the next visit will come soon.

1. Hi, I'm Emily. This is my dog Clifford. The circus is coming to our town. A small sign says the circus needs help.

2. The circus owner says everything is going wrong. I tell him Clifford and I can help him. He doesn't think a little girl and her dog can be much help. But I say, "The show must go on."

3. The first problem is the lions and tigers. They don't listen to the trainer. Clifford gives them a command. They listen to Clifford. How strange it is!

2. There are mice in the barn, but none of them is Mr Squeaky.

3. Next we go to the gym. No rubber mouse, either. Oh where is he?

4. How about the town dock? Clifford looks through the boats. Clifford looks under the boats. No rubber mouse! We are very sad and go home.

5. Dad has a surprise for Clifford — a new rubber mouse! It is a nice mouse, but it isn't Mr Squeaky.

6. Grandma asks why Clifford looks so sad. I tell her about the rubber mouse. She says,"Is this Mr Squeaky? You left him here last Sunday."

1. Emily gets up in the morning for breakfast. Hic-hic-HICCUP! What's that sound? Hic-hic-HICCUP! Clifford is having hiccups. Up pop the plates and cups. Up pops the orange juice -right onto Mr. Howard's head. "Maybe the vet can help Clifford," says Mrs Howard.
Emily 早上起來去吃早飯。嗝……嗝嘍!什么聲音?嗝……嗝嘍!Clifford 接連打嗝。盤子、杯子彈了起來，橘子汁濺了出來，正好灑在 Howard 先生的頭上?！耙苍S獸醫(yī)能治好Clifford，” Howard 太太說。
2. Dr. Dihn checks Clifford's breathing. Hic-hic-HICCUP! "Clifford just has the hiccups," Dr Dihn says. "Sooner or later, they will go away."
Dihn 醫(yī)生查了查Clifford 的呼吸。嗝……嗝嘍!“Clifford 就是打嗝，沒別的毛病，” Dihn 醫(yī)生說。“打嗝遲早會(huì)停止的?！?BR> 3. Outside the doctor's office, Clifford sees his friends T-Bone and Mac. Hic-hic-HICCUP! "I know how to make your hiccups go away," Mac says to Clifford. "Follow me."

4. They come to a kid's pool. "Close your eyes, hold your ears, then turn upside down, and drink!" says Mac.

5. Clifford begins to drink. "Boo!" T-Bone jumps out of the pool! And Clifford's hiccups stop!

6. "We did it!" says T-Bone and Mac. Hic-hic-HICCUP! "My hiccups didn't go away, but I feel good because you helped me so much," says Clifford.
“我們成功了!” T-Bone 和 Mac 說。嗝……嗝嘍!“我的打嗝沒停住，但是我感到高興，因?yàn)槟銈內(nèi)绱伺Φ貛椭宋?，?Clifford 說。
7. Just then, Emily comes over and asks Clifford: "How are your hiccups?" Everyone listens. Then they listen some more. Clifford's hiccups are finally gone.
