Dogs
Nowadays many people like to have dogs as their pets. Dogs are friends of man not only because they are lovely but also because they are faithful to their masters.
Dogs can do a lot of work for man. They play with us. They hunt with us. They keep door for us. But long ago, dogs all over the world were wild.
Dogs can date back to the Stone Age. All dogs have the same ancestor. It is believed that their ancestor was much like a wolf. Other animals, such as the fox, came from this ancestor, too. Hundreds of thousands of years ago, man began to tame wild dogs. After the dogs were tamed, they were trained. The strong dogs became working animals. They were trained to pull heavy loads. They learned to keep an eye on the sheep and other animals. Working dogs had other jobs, too.
Some dogs were not strong. But they could help man hunt for game. Other dogs were best as pets.
Today, there are more than 100 kinds of dogs in the world.

狗可以追溯到石器時代。所有的狗都是同一個祖先，人們相信狗的祖先很像狼。其他動物，如狐貍，也是來自這個祖先。幾千年前人類就開始馴服野狗，狗被馴服后，人們就訓(xùn)練它們。強壯的狗成為人類工作的幫手，人們訓(xùn)練它們拉重的貨物。它們學(xué)會了幫人們照看綿羊和其它的動物。
有些狗不夠強壯，但它們能幫人們尋找獵物。還有些狗成了人們的寵物。
目前世界上狗的種類已經(jīng)達到100多種。

Spring in Our School
Spring comes at last. Everything begins to grow. The trees turn green, and the flowers come out. On the playground, in the fields, on each side of the road, the young grass grows everywhere.
Spring also arrives in our school. Come and see, behind our teaching building, there are some small pear trees covered with white flowers; on both sides of it, there are some other flowers smiling at you, Some are yellow, some are red. In our school garden, more flowers are there. All kinds of flowers of many colours can be seen.
Look, there are some Kites flying in the sky. The spring wind is blowing. The sun is shining brightly. Some boys are playing games in the sun, Listen, a group of girls are singing "Where's spring?" It sounds like the singing of lark birds. All these make me think that spring is here, spring is there, and spring is just in our school. Fhe boys and the girls are all like flowers in spring.

春天也來到了我們的學(xué)校。請來瞧一瞧，教學(xué)樓后，小梨樹上掛滿了白花。教學(xué)樓兩旁，花兒向你微笑，有紅的，有黃的。在我們學(xué)校的花園里有更多的花。各種各樣的花，各種各樣的顏色，到處可見。
看，天空中有幾只風(fēng)箏在飛翔，春風(fēng)吹拂，陽光明媚。一些小孩子在做游戲。聽，一群女孩在唱著“春天在哪里?”這歌聲就像百靈鳥一樣清脆。所有這一切，使我想到：春天在這里，春天在那里，春天就在我們的校園里。這些孩子們，不正像春天的花朵嗎?
多美的季節(jié)，多可愛的孩子啊!
