    1.complain vi.
    (1)抱怨,發(fā)牢騷,訴苦(常與of,about連用):
    She is always complaining.
    她總是發(fā)牢騷。
    Don't complain about/of the weather.
    別抱怨天氣。
    (2)控告,抗 議(與of,about連用):
    The people in that district complained to the police about the noise from that factory.
    那家工廠噪音太大,當(dāng)?shù)氐娜藗円严蚓酵对V。
    Mary complained to the Jacksons about the rubbish they had thrown everywhere.
    杰克遜一家亂扔垃圾,瑪麗已向他們提出抗 議。
    2.wicked adj.
    (1)邪 惡的,壞的(道德上):
    Don't believe him. He is a wicked person.別相信他。他很壞。
    She saw a wicked smile on his face.
    她發(fā)現(xiàn)他臉上帶著惡意的微笑。
    (2)淘氣的,頑皮的(尤指小孩):
    Don't be so wicked, Tom.

    (3)(天氣)惡劣的:
    Few people walked about in this wicked weather.

    1.wonder
    (1)vt.,vi.感到驚訝,感到詫異:
    They wondered that there was a modern building in that district.
    那個(gè)地方居然有一座現(xiàn)代化建筑,他們感到很驚訝。
    He wondered at the beauty of the old town.

    2.each other
    從原則上講,這個(gè)短語(yǔ)指兩個(gè)人“互相”:
    You and I must try to help each other.

    We must all help each other.

    1.notice
    (1)vt.注意到,察覺(jué)到(不用于進(jìn)行時(shí)):
    You never notice what's going on around you.
    你從來(lái)不注意身邊發(fā)生的事。
    Did you notice him leaving?
    他離開的時(shí)候你發(fā)現(xiàn)了嗎?
    I've noticed that it is warmer here than in England.
    我發(fā)現(xiàn)這里比英國(guó)暖和。
    (2)n.注意,察覺(jué):
    The girl in red caught his notice.
    那位穿紅衣服的姑娘引起了他的注意。
    (3)n.(書面的)通知,布告,海報(bào):
    I know there's a meeting, because someone put up a notice outside the Town Hall.
    我知道有個(gè)集會(huì),因?yàn)橛腥嗽谑姓d外面貼了個(gè)通知。
    2.hang vt. vi.
    (1)(將……)懸掛,吊:
    I'm hanging this picture on the wall.
    我正在把這幅畫掛到墻上去。
    Will you please hang the coat?

    A pretty curtain hangs over the window.
    窗戶上掛著一個(gè)漂亮的窗簾。
    (2)垂下:
    John was very tired. He sat in a chair and hung (down) his head.

    (3)安裝……使能轉(zhuǎn)動(dòng)/擺動(dòng):
    Have you hung the door?

    3.upside down
    (1)上下顛倒:
    When Percy Buttons stands on his head, everything appears upside down to him.
    當(dāng)珀西·巴頓斯頭頂?shù)氐沽r(shí),一切東西在他看來(lái)都是上下顛倒的。
    You've hung the picture upside down.
    你把畫掛倒了。
    (2)亂七八糟,混亂不堪:
    My little boy always makes the room upside down.
    我的小兒子總是把房間弄得亂七八糟。
    These men have made the whole country upside down.
