2. in addition to 除……之外。如：
We play football in addition to basketball. 除了籃球外，我們還踢足球。
In addition to English, he has to study a second foreign language. 除英語外，他還得學(xué)第二外語。
In addition to the overcoat you asked for, I bought you a shirt. 除了你要的上衣外，我還給你買了件襯衫。
注：in addition to 中的to為介詞，所以后接動(dòng)詞作賓語時(shí)要用動(dòng)名詞。如：
In addition to giving me some advice, he gave me some money. 他不僅給我提了些忠告，而且還給了我一些錢。
另外，當(dāng)主語后跟有in addition to引出的介詞短語時(shí)，謂語動(dòng)詞仍與其前的主語保持一致。如：
The teacher, in addition to his students, was interested in the book. 老師和他的學(xué)生都對(duì)這本書感興趣。
