Our workshops for international students are designed to assist you with a smooth transition to studying at UQ and living in Australia.
As an international student, your first step upon arriving at UQ is to attend a Getting Started session within three days of arrival.

This session will help you make a smooth transition to campus life and includes essential information you need to get settled in and off to a good start. Learn some fun facts about UQ, explore your campus, and find practical information about enrolling, getting ID cards, and getting connected to other UQ students.

Find out more about Australia from our historical roots to our modern urban lifestyle. Learn to decode slang, the art of eating vegemite and the life of a typical Australian student. This session will help you understand more about Australia so you feel at home in your new surroundings. You'll be fitting in like an Aussie local in no time!
