    　　1.Academic Requirements
    　　Previous Education: Earned degree that is the equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor degree. Please note that some bachelor degrees are based on a three-year program and are not considered equivalent to the U.S. bachelor degree. Should you have questions regarding your prospective or earned degree, please contact the Office of International Admissions at goglobal@unm.edu.
    　　Academic Preparation: Minimum of a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) on a U.S. 4.0 scale or comparable grade point average in upper-division (junior and senior level) university course work and in any graduate work already completed.
    　　Departmental Requirements: Graduate departments at UNM may have their own additional admission requirements. Please check with your prospective academic department for more information.

    　2.English Language Requirements
    　　If English is not your first language or if English is not the official language of your home country, you must demonstrate English language proficiency. Most students will need to submit official English proficiency test scores (details below) that are LESS than 2 years old. Students seeking a graduate teaching assistantship may also be required to submit additional information to the graduate academic department.
    　English Proficiency Test Requirements
    　　To demonstrate English proficiency, students can take: the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), Pearson Test of English (Academic), or Cambridge CPE or CAE. Minimum score requirements are listed in the table below. Official test results must be sent directly to the University of New Mexico. The TOEFL code for UNM is 4845.

    　　The CPE or CAE test may also be accepted with a satisfactory score of C.
    　　Exceptions to the English Proficiency Test Requirements (only one exception required):
    　　Completion of four years of US high school with a 2.5 GPA or better.
    　　Bachelor's or graduate degree from an accredited institution in the United States, English-speaking Canada, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, or New Zealand.
    　　1 year of full-time study (minimum 18 credit hours) at a regionally-accredited US college or university with a 3.0 GPA or higher completed within the last two years.
    　　Completion of two semesters of freshman English composition (English 110 and 120 equivalent) with a GPA of 2.0 or higher at a regionally- accredited U.S. college or university.
    　　Bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited US college or university.
    　　Attendance in the Center for English Language and American Culture (CELAC)program at UNM with a passing Institutional TOEFL score and a recommendation from the CELAC program director.
    　Conditional Admission
    　　The University of New Mexico does not offer conditional admission at the graduate level of study.

    　不需要滿足英語熟練考試要求的情況(符合一種情況即可)：
    　　(1)在美國高中完成四年學習，平均績點達到或超過2.5
    　　(2)拿到美國、加拿大英語區(qū)、英國、南非、澳大利亞或新西蘭官方機構(gòu)授予的學士學位或研究生學位
    　　(3)最近兩年里在美國區(qū)域官方學院或大學完成一年全日制學習，完成至少十八個學分，平均績點達到或超過3.0
    　　(4)在完成美國區(qū)域官方學院或大學兩個學期的大一英語寫作，英語110和120同等，平均績點達到或超過2.0
    　　(5)拿到美國區(qū)域官方學院或大學授予的學士學位
    　　(6)在新墨西哥大學“英語語言與美國文化中心”學習，通過托福考試，得到中心課程主任的推薦。
    　有條件錄取
    　　新墨西哥大學不提供研究生有條件錄取。
