中國(guó)人總是傾向于保守、內(nèi)斂，這也就使得套磁這樣一件需要主動(dòng)去跟陌生人勾搭的事情顯得格外神秘與艱難。其實(shí)，套磁遠(yuǎn)沒那么難，今天，和出國(guó)留學(xué)網(wǎng)小編一起來(lái)聽教授講講套磁的正確姿勢(shì)是什么。
你的套磁信有這些問題嗎？
由于研究方向和所在的管理職位，我差不多每周都能收到10多封套磁信，主要來(lái)源于中國(guó)、大印度、馬來(lái)、印尼、中東、還有荷蘭。估計(jì)由于模板的存在，大多數(shù)套磁信還是有禮有節(jié)。主要給我印象比較深刻的問題只有如下幾個(gè)：
1）給同一個(gè)大學(xué)里的人群發(fā)套磁信
最讓人火大的莫過于，收到一份情真意切的套磁信，正準(zhǔn)備電話詢問細(xì)節(jié)，結(jié)果1個(gè)小時(shí)之內(nèi)，從好幾個(gè)同事那邊轉(zhuǎn)發(fā)過來(lái)，說(shuō)：“我覺得這個(gè)申請(qǐng)人的背景比較適合你的研究組”。或者完全提不起興趣而刪除套磁信，到了中午，2、3個(gè)同事同時(shí)跑過來(lái)說(shuō)：“我要了這個(gè)申請(qǐng)人！”
老兄，群發(fā)套磁信，也別給同一個(gè)系里面的人群發(fā)??！第一種情況，傷害了老板的心??；第二種呢，還想挑起內(nèi)斗，玩?zhèn)€二桃殺三士么？
所以切記：套磁信，同一個(gè)大學(xué)不要同時(shí)套2個(gè)以上的老板。
2） 不誠(chéng)實(shí)，夸大成果
一般你說(shuō)了你發(fā)表了幾篇一般文章，老板也懶得去查細(xì)節(jié)；但是有人在CV 中說(shuō)發(fā)表了3篇IEEE TRANSACTIONS。眼睛一亮，看看他做的什么吧，結(jié)果找啊找啊找，什么也找不到。電話給他的導(dǎo)師，發(fā)現(xiàn)是投稿過3篇IEEE TRANSACTIONS，都被拒了。
這樣的申請(qǐng)人啊，在學(xué)術(shù)圈估計(jì)真混不長(zhǎng)。
3）不回復(fù)老板的回信
這個(gè)問題主要是中國(guó)申請(qǐng)人的。也許因?yàn)榇蠹伊?xí)慣了用QQ、微信等，沒有意識(shí)到許多國(guó)外大學(xué)EMAIL才是官方的通訊渠道。
對(duì)感興趣的申請(qǐng)人，許多老板都會(huì)在看到套磁信后，馬上EMAIL回復(fù)。
我對(duì)感興趣的博士后申請(qǐng)人，經(jīng)常在看到套磁信的2分鐘內(nèi)就回復(fù)說(shuō)，“本組現(xiàn)在沒有經(jīng)費(fèi)雇傭你為博士后，但是你如果想過來(lái)3個(gè)月做訪問學(xué)者，我還是可以提供支持的?！?BR> 結(jié)果許多申請(qǐng)人，如泥牛入海，完全沒有回響。即使你對(duì)我沒有興趣，哼唧一下表示禮貌，總不會(huì)累死吧！套磁信那么長(zhǎng)都憋出來(lái)了，一句回復(fù)也能累死你？
其實(shí)，老板很少直接把不熟悉的人直接招為2、3年博士后的，一般是給2、3個(gè)月的RA或者訪問學(xué)者，試試看。
4）套磁信完全沒有針對(duì)性
如果把套磁對(duì)象換個(gè)其他名字，這封信還可以使用。
什么是正確的套磁姿勢(shì)？
先舉兩個(gè)博士后套磁信的例子：
I.
Dear Dr. XXX，
My name is XXX， and I am writing to inquire about the availability of obtaining a postdoctoral position in your institution. I received my Ph.D. degree from XXX in June XXX. My Ph.D. dissertation title is “XXXXXXX”.
My research interests focus on xxxxxx and system engineering. My Ph.D. dissertation focuses on XXX by means of xxxx. I have published XXX papers in SCI journals， XXX papers in EI journals along with one paper under revision.
With many years of rich experience in study on operational research and xxxx， I master solving fuzzy XXXXXX. With deep understanding of xxxxx related basic theory of knowledge and technology， thanks to my research activities， I have a strong academic background on xxxx xxx， xxxxxxx， etc. Additionally， I have participated in several xxxxx projects which endow me rich engineering experiences.

整個(gè)信在內(nèi)容、英文方面沒有明顯漏洞。但是呢，實(shí)際上效果不佳，因?yàn)椋?/strong>
a）一般老板首先會(huì)看，這個(gè)套磁信和我有什么關(guān)系呢？你介紹了一通自己，我知道你很厲害，但是你熟悉我這個(gè)實(shí)驗(yàn)室么？知道我這里是做什么的么？你的技能和知識(shí)對(duì)我的實(shí)驗(yàn)室有什么幫助?。客ㄆ獩]有提到和我有關(guān)的東西，為什么我要花時(shí)間看你的附件CV啊，刪除！
b）博士生的話，可以提t(yī)raining
opportunity，本來(lái)博士就是一個(gè)訓(xùn)練過程；但是博士后呢，老板一般是期望你召之即來(lái)、來(lái)之能戰(zhàn)，另外，為什么老板需要花錢雇傭你來(lái)HELP
YOU ADVANCE GREATLY或者IMPROVE YOURSELF呢？
c）最后一個(gè)問題是，從老板的角度來(lái)講，找博士后其實(shí)是賣方市場(chǎng)，優(yōu)秀博士畢業(yè)生旁邊經(jīng)常就有老板求著說(shuō)，到我這邊來(lái)做博士后吧，能量大的老板可能直接就給了tenure track
position。老板好不容易弄到的研究基金，當(dāng)然希望能夠找到個(gè)高手博士后。即使你的水平就那么多，也不能做出begging狀，所以，要小心使用這個(gè)詞 if you can give/offer me a chance. 有水平的話，架子還是需要擺一擺的；水平不夠擺架子的話，也別低三下四。
其實(shí)，不論是博士生或者博士后申請(qǐng)，套磁可以很簡(jiǎn)單直白的，特別是能夠做到對(duì)你套磁的老板的組比較熟悉，讓老板給你回信問細(xì)節(jié)，那就達(dá)到目的了。
來(lái)看2個(gè)正面的例子：
下面這封離開模板千里，但是我直接打電話問他的情況了，其中的一個(gè)關(guān)鍵是：他看了我研究組的網(wǎng)站，知道我的組做什么，賣點(diǎn)是什么。
Dear Dr XXXX，
I am a student at XXXXX with a major in XXXX. I am a master honor student and will be graduating this December.
I
am planning to attend graduate school in XXXXX， with a focus on XXXXX.
I have been exploring XXXX graduate programs when I am working on XXXX
project， and I am particularly interested in your research interest，

再來(lái)看個(gè)印度學(xué)生的套磁信，信件寫的很感人，但是可能印度IIT的統(tǒng)一模板就是這個(gè)，因?yàn)椴畈欢嗟搅嗣磕昴硞€(gè)時(shí)候，我就可以收到一大堆這種架構(gòu)的信。其實(shí)內(nèi)容還是很勾人的呢。

平心而論，這封套磁信屬于典范級(jí)別的了。不過由于IIT的學(xué)生差不多每人都這個(gè)套路，許多老板都看厭倦了，所以你還是需要小心使用。按照思路，自己改編個(gè)具有中國(guó)特色的吧
