Now we all have a good friend. Do you know “who” is it [it is] (1)? It's the English newspaper of our school——“Sunrise”。 From it we can read many good compositions, poems, stories and learn a lot of English knowledge.
Our teachers often tell us to read more, write more and practise more in order to learn English well. With the teachers' help, we often write some compositions in English. To our enjoyment, we have “Sunrise” now, and some of our good English compositions can possibly (2) be carried (登載) in it. This has greatly encouraged us and helped us to improve our English. Since “Sunrise” was started last term, many students have showed great interest in English, especially in English writing. “Sunrise” has become our own English garden. We read it, care for it and develop it, treating it as our good friend.
We are thankful to our English teachers for their unselfish and hard work, especially to Mr Xie. He spent a lot of his spare time working on the paper. He went over the drafts (草稿), edited (編排) the articles and so on. He posted and recommended (推薦)“Sunrise” to national or provincial English newspapers and magazines. Now some English experts and professors think highly of it, congratulating it [and have congratulated us on it] (3) . Several best articles of “Sunrise” have been chosen to bepublished in their English newspapers and magazines.
I wish“Sunrise” could rise higher and higher. I'll keep on practising writing and reading. “Sunrise” will be my good friend for ever.
