During the recent days of economic problems, there have been many suggestions as to how people can save money by not being wasteful of electricity and water in their homes. This morning on television there was a good demonstration of how one family has started saving considerable money by following a few suggestions given by their local power company. According to what Don and Shirley heard this morning, the single most important thing is to turn off lights when people are not in the room. They laughed a bit about that because they grew up with parents who were constantly warning them to do that. They are already doing what is most important.
